Never a dull moment.....

Working with kids there just never seems to be a dull moment! Today there was a couple firsts for me..... 1.) I got to see my first head lice 2.) I saw one of my kids wake up during his nap, yell for his mom , start blowing chunks, and go back to sleep right in the freshly made pile of grossness on his mat. I have never seen that before. Very eventful day to say the least. I also asked off work for Peru today. God continually amazes me in how he answers prayers. I have been really nervous to tell my work about going. They have been really short on teachers and I just felt bad leaving. They knew I was going to Peru, they just didn't know how long. Both of my bosses were very supportive and excited for me. God totally spoke to me and calmed a lot of anxiety I had through them.

On a side note....Kailey and I looked at a dress shop tonight....and she thinks she found the perfect wedding dress! She is going to take my mom back next week to look at it. She looked so beautiful in it!

The waiting game!

We are just sitting around the house waiting for Kailey to call us. They were suppose to arrive into KCI at 1:45pm. They missed their flight in Miami and have had problems ever since. There are about 30 of them traveling together so I think they have had to split up several times. She just called and got on a flight in Texas and is now headed home. I can't wait to hear about everything that happened this past week and to see how God worked! I am also excited to see how much it has changed since I was there last year.

Today at church we have been talking about "Mean what you say." This really got me thinking. In todays world we have become so accustom to using words to get what we want or to make people feel better. What have my words become? Is everything coming out of my mouth furthering the kingdom of God? I think not. I have a lot of work to do! We talked a lot about 1 John 3. God has called us to be his light. If we say that we are in the light then we need to act like we are. It is important to lay down your life for others because that is what God did for us. I like to think of that as taking the backseat middle in the car. That is the seat that no one wants. So as of now I am trying to set my own intensions aside to build relationships and further my amazing God's kingdom! Working on taking the backseat middle .......................

Every day life

So I started this blog for my technology for edu. class at school. I didn't really think I would ever use it. I thought it would be cool if I started writing on it just about what God is teaching me and updating you on my life.
Summer is off to a fast start. Kailey left today for Peru this morning with the mission trip going from our church. When I dropped her off at the air port I was sad that I wouldn't be going with her this year. I know that God has different plans for me. I am excited to see how they will unfold.
I currently am working 9-5 monday- friday at the daycare I have worked at since high school. There I have a class of 4 1 1/2 year old boys. They keep me very busy and are a constant reminder of God's love.
I am learning that it's not about all the big things you do in life, but about all the small things you do with a big heart! Right now I am just trying to show God's love at my work and to my four little boys. Not always an easy task when they are bite you. Good thing God is in control and not me! :)
